4. Petronas Twin Towers (Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia) – 452 meters
Petronas Twin Tower was completed in 1998 with a total height of 452m and 88 floors. It took 4 years of construction at a cost of up to 1.6 billion USD. Standing at 88 stories high, the numeral eight theme used throughout the building is symbolic of good fortune. The two towers, which were designed by the late César Pelli, connected by a flying bridge are grounded in Islamic architecture. Because of the soft ground on which the towers were built, the foundations reach up to 374 feet deep to support the structures.
5. Maria Bay Sands (Singapore) – 200 meters
Marina Bay Sands is a famous project with a swimming pool and a giant garden located on the roof connecting 3 skyscrapers; located 200 meters in the air, with an infinity pool and an observatory.
