Easy Meatloaf

Momma’s Meatloaf is a classic meatloaf and has the best flavor ever! This meatloaf recipe is easy to make, consistent, and has the best glaze on top!

Meatloaf is one of the perfect classic American dinners. Everyone has a meatloaf recipe, but we really think that’s about as good as it gets. She takes the best toppings and puts them into one meatloaf covered in the most delicious glaze. We stuck to tradition in this recipe, but we made sure to come up with the best recipe possible.

Why is my meat falling off?
There can be many reasons why a meatloaf may fall apart. The most common reason is that meatloaf does not contain enough binding agents. To help keep the meatloaf together, add things like eggs and breadcrumbs because they are key ingredients that hold the meat together. Another reason meatloaf breaks down is overcooking it.

  • Ingredients :

Β° 2 pounds lean ground beef
Β° 1/2 white onion, diced
Β° 1 cup dried bread crumbs
Β° 1/2 cup milk
Β° 1 large egg
Β° 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
Β° 1 teaspoon salt
Β° 1 teaspoon basil
Β° 1 teaspoon oregano
Β° 1/2 teaspoon pepper
Β° 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes

  • For glazing:
    Β° 1/2 cup ketchup
    Β° 2 tablespoons brown sugar
    Β° 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • Instructions :

Heaat oven 350 degrees. Grease a 9*13 frying pan through a small bit of fat .

In a bowl, mix ground beef / onion/ bread crumbs / milk, eggs, Worcestershire sauce, salt, basil, oregano, pepper, also red pepper flakes in a large bowl.

Shape the meat into a loaf and put it in the prepared skillet. Bake in the oven at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.

In a small bowl, mix the glaze by whisking the ketchup, brown sugar, and Worcestershire sauce together. Brush it over the hot meatloaf.
Raise the oven temperature to 400 degrees and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until the meatloaf reaches an internal temperature of 160 degrees Fahrenheit.
