French toast

Ingredients

6 thick slices bread (I used French bread this time, use what you like)
1/2 cup milk
1 Tablespoon good vanilla
2 beaten eggs
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 Tablespoons sugar
8 tablespoons butter
Warm maple syrup

Instructions

In a mixing bowl whisk together the milk, eggs, cinnamon, salt, vanilla and sugar until well combined.

Add a couple tablespoons of butter to a large pan and bring to med heat

Soak bread slices in custard mix briefly then place into pan and cook until golden brown and slightly crispy on both sides. Top with warm maple syrup

*Side note……….”AIN’T” NO SUGAR IN THESE GRITS! Just salt, pepper and butterπŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
