HOMEMADE LEMON MERINGUE PIE

You need to stop if your lemon pie is made from a can of powder! Today’s recipe is a delicious homemade lemon meringue pie made entirely from scratch that tastes better and is really easy to make.
All the ingredients you will need to make this pie are in the list below

Β° Standard size baked pie dough.
Β° 1Β½ cups water.
Β° 1 cup white sugar.
Β° 4 eggs, large, separate the yolk from the white.
Β° 2 sized Lemons, squeezed
Β° The flavor of two medium lemons.
Β° 6 teaspoons of white sugar.
Β° 3 teaspoons of cornstarch.
Β° 2 teaspoons all-purpose flour.
Β° 2 teaspoons of soft butter.
Β° 1/4 teaspoon of salt.

Here’s how to make :

Step 1:
I started the preparation by preheating the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.Step 2: Then whisk the flour, cornstarch and salt in a medium saucepan. I added lemon zest with juice and water.
Step 3:
Then I cooked, stirring occasionally, over medium-high heat until mixture boiled.
The fourth step:
Next, I added the butter to the mixture and, in a small bowl, whisked the egg yolks with Β½ cup of the hot sugar until smooth, returning to the rest of the sugar mixture with the yolks.
Fifth step:
At this point, bring to a boil, then simmer, stirring constantly, until sauce thickens.After reducing the heat, I put the filling on the toasted crust.
Sixth step:
To make the meringue, I whisk the egg whites until frothy in a large cup or metal plate.
Seventh step:
I added the sugar in a slow, steady stream before stiff peaks formed, and once done, spread the meringue over the pie and seal the sides of the crust.
Step 8:
To finish, I put the pie in the preheated oven and baked it for ten minutes.
