Mozzarella bread super crispy and delicious
3 tbsp butter
125 ml of milk
250 g + a little flour
1 teaspoon dry yeast
1 teaspoon of sugar
1 teaspoon salt
2 scoops of mozzarella
Pepper, dried Italian herbs and chilli flakes for sprinkling
some oil for molding
Whisk the egg. Melt the butter. Heat the milk lukewarm in a saucepan. Put the flour, dry yeast, sugar, egg, butter, milk and salt in a large mixing bowl. First knead all ingredients with the dough hook of the hand mixer, then with your hands to form a smooth, very soft yeast dough. Cover the dough with a kitchen towel and let rise for about 1 hour until the volume has roughly doubled.
Cut the mozzarella into strips. Knead the dough again with a little flour and shape it into a ball. Preheat the oven (210 ° C top and bottom heat).
Place the dough on a baking sheet lined with baking paper and shape into a round flatbread with a diameter of approx. 25 cm with a little oil.
Use your fingers to press 4 different sized circular indentations into the dough. Fill the hollows all around with the mozzarella strips. To flavor the party bread, sprinkle evenly with ground pepper, herbs and chilli flakes. Bake in the preheated oven for about 20 minutes until golden brown.
