Quark hats – better than at the bakery!

Ingredients :


60 grams of sugar
450 grams of flour
250 grams of quark
220 ml of lukewarm milk
Β° a little salt
Β° 70 grams of butter
Β° 1 cube of fresh yeast
Β° 2-3 drops of bitter almond flavor
Β° Rapeseed oil for frying
Β° 1 packet of vanilla sugar
Β° Icing sugar for sprinkling

  • Prepare :
  1. First we put the flour in a bowl and make a hole in the middle. Then mix the milk with the butter well until it has melted.
  2. Now crumble the yeast in the well, add a pinch of milk mixture and stir in the sugar with a spoon. Cover the mixture with a little flour and let it rest for a few minutes.
  3. Now stir the remaining ingredients until the batter comes out of the bowl and let the batter rest in a warm place for 30 to 40 minutes until it has doubled.
  4. Now knead the dough again and roll out approx. 1.5 cm. Finally, we cut the dough into small squares and cook it in small portions in a saucepan with hot fat.

Sprinkle with powdered sugar and let it taste good! It tastes better warm!
