Strawberry-Shortcake

Soft old cake with two layers of strawberries and fresh cream.

  • ingredients :

ยฐ 3 scoops of fresh strawberries
ยฐ Half a cup of white sugar
ยฐ 2 cups allpurpose flour
ยฐ 4 teaspoons baking powder
ยฐ 2 tablespoons white sugar
ยฐ Half a teaspoon of salt
ยฐ Half a cup of ghee
ยฐ 1 egg
ยฐ Half a cup of milk
ยฐ 2 cups whipped cream

  • Directions :

Step 1


Cut the strawberries into slices and toss them with ยฝ cup of white sugar. Sit aside.


Step 2


Preheat oven 425ยฐF (220ยฐC). Grease an 8-inch round cake pan with butter and flour.

Step 3

In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, 2 tablespoons of sugar and salt. Blend pastry pieces of ghee To mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Make a hole in the center and add the beaten eggs and milk. Stir until smooth.


Step 4


Spread the mixture into the prepared skillet. Bake at 425ยฐF (220ยฐC) for 15 to 20 minutes or until golden brown. Let it cool partially in a skillet on a wire rack.


Fifth step


Cut the partially cooled cake in half to make two layers.Spread half of the strawberries layer by layer on top of the other.Cover the remaining strawberries and brush with whipped cream.
